I've seen some websites that use a photo-image that looks like it is part of a photo. Like just the face of a person without the background. Does anyone know how this is done.

Thanks for your reply. Here is one site, look at the elephant. I have tried to contact the site, but I can't get the form to send. Are you there PlayIt By Beer? I tried your contact us form six times and can not get it to go thru. Site http://www.addoadventure.com/

I'll check the form now (the gremlins must have got hold of it)
Regarding the removal of image background:
I use highend coreldraw and photoshop, but most of your design programs have an eraser function. I prefer to draw around the object (corel shape tool) as this creates a solid or crisp outline and then smudge to create a more natural look. (As the eraser tools of most programs miss out on that clarity on the objects edge)
What are you looking to do?

Re: Working with photos-images
Thanks Tom vR and PlayItByBeer for the info. I'll give it a try. PlayItByBeer , your contact us form kept telling me their was an error, but did not list the error. I tried it several times with variations in the fields with no luck. Hope that helps. I made a logo and put it on my index page. Any comments? I'm also working and thinking through your previous comments on my site.

Re: Working with photos-images
PlayitbyBeer, I was trying to contact you as well but the form on the contact page doesnt work. All it was is your 'Hosting' page. - 'Frogg Designs utilize and endose the services of VodaHost, rated No 1 in hosting' missing an 'r'.

Re: Working with photos-images
I see that PlayItByBeer abd Royb use a 3d type template, I like the look. Is it a download or did you create it ? How did you do that? Thanks!

Re: Working with photos-images
Hi Tyson
I did the graphics for my site in Paintshop Pro. I made them about 2 years ago for another site and they were stored on a disc so I dug them out and used them. I did a bit of 3-d ish type stuff on my other site at http://www.pluspic.plusplace.co.uk but it is a bit plainer.

Re: Working with photos-images
Hi Tyson,
I use photoshop to create all of my templates, save as html and then 'open from existing html file' in BV but most graphic software will allow you to give your page a 3d look by making use of the emboss or bevel tools in conjunction with shadows. (similar to 'gradient' option with BV shape tool)
