blocking images

ive been told that something is blocking images and stoping me from publishing thats why im getting the 12002 error code has anyone had any issues with any programs that have been causing affects like this

i cant publish to either of my accounts

heres the earlier post i wrote

i have 2 websites they can both be viewed on the net everythings ok there my sites are http://www.meditube.net this is my first website i publish to public_html for this one my second website is http://www.lowrateinterestcards.com i publish to public_html/lowrateinterestcards for this one
i have been getting this error 12002 internet exeption for over 10 days now and no one seems to be able to do anything i have uninstalled reinstalled i have cleared temp folder i have entered regedit changing timeout i have removed menubars i have shut down firewall and antivirus i have even done a system restore i cant understand why knowone from bluevoda seems to be able to help surely theres a technician there that can read my error log and see whats happening now a new error has erose when i open meditube folder to edit my files when i click on any files bluevoda freezes but after restarting bluevoda if i go to my lowrateinterest folder all the files come up ok obviously they still wont publish now i have explained to voda support that i can publish a page with just text but i dont see how images could be a problem because i cant even republish pages ive already published and anyway the page im trying to publish dosent have images just html...

forgot to say ive already turned windows defender off windows firewall off counterspy off and avg antivirus off and im still geting the problem

Hi .. there is really no point in posting multiple threads about your ongoing issue.

The following is the error you are receiving and the reasons why.
We cannot tune up your computer or your connection, this has to do with your own connections. You mentioned earlier that you were able to publish a page of text, so it appears it is your images causing the problems. We suggest the below.


A 12002 error is a timeout error. You might also receive this error
if you are trying to publish to the wrong IP address. Otherwise you
are receiving it because you are trying to upload a very large file, or
your internet connection speed is very slow.

The first thing you will want to do is run a pix resizer over all your
photgraphs to compress their size:

After you have done this, if the problem persists, try the below
work around:

1. In windows go to Start, select run and type: Regedit
2. Find this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BlueVoda 7\BlueVoda 7\Publish\
3. Add a new DWORD value with the name ConnectionTimeout
4. Enter the value in seconds for example 360 (default is 30)

i have done what you said but when i go into regedit there is no bluevoda 7 only bluevoda 9 connection timeout is already there value data is hexadecimacil 1c2 decimal is 450 is this right

Okay, yes, you will have blue voda 9, that is the latest release (the notes were wrote when 7 was the latest)

Are you still able to publish just a page of text?

I don't believe images can particularly get blocked unless they have invalid or censored names (or if you have settings on your own computer that is blocking them - this can happen - but wouldn't affect the rest of us) ?? perhaps your images simply need renaming ..

could you right click on one of your images and let us know the size of it .. the kb or mb amount .. this will tell us if your images on the page are just simply too large for uploading ...

try a page with just one image onto it and see if that would publish

I don't believe you are being blocked from publishing as you are able to do so .. so it appears what is on the page might be causing the problem ..

If the page did happen to publish and you were left with little red x's for images, then renaming your images or adjusting the setting of your hot link protection in your control panel for this domain might help ..

So, try some of this and see if this helps at all ..

You can always delete your test pages out of your control panel/file manager / domain after you check ...

yes i have noticed on one of my images when i preview it there is a little red cross in the corner im not sure if its because i dont have that picure in my system anymore because i cant find in my picure folder do you think this is the problem also what setting should i change in hotlink protection should i add more picture extensions
