Re: Are copy rights protected?
For years many people have asked about protecting images on the web.
1) you can use flash and put an image inside of it...the counter, "PRINTSCREEN"
2) coding to prevent right clicks...the counter, "PRINTSCREEN".
3) WATERMARKS..the counter PRINTSCREEN With photoshop editing.
4) don't know coding for right clicking prevention? place image then create a transparent box at 5% over the image. the counter, a)view source code and find where image is located on the web and paste in address: the image is displayed. b) PRINTSCREEN and photoshop editing.
There is no real way to prevent an image from being copied from the web. as far as copyrighting is concern, you need to register the photos with uncle sam. AND there is no real way to stop the "printscreen" feature on the users computer because it is pre-written as a function on every computer. the only way to stop the PRINTSCREEN function is to write a code that can only be an .exe file type which will be considered a malicious malware attack on your viewers that can not be reversed once the user leaves your site.
just copyright it...oh, forget about the whole "send your self a copy in the mail" bit. once you open it, all bets are off. Even if you made hundreds of copies, you will have to STILL show proof that, that same image is in the envelope. 2) it will not hold up in court if it is a COPY and not the original.
good luck
