Designing my page into 2 sections

I want to have 2 separate parts to my page. THe main text which scrolls up and down, and a smaller section (about 1/4 or 1/3 of the page to the left) that does not move but remains in view constantly.

How do I do this? Is this some sort of template?

    Thanks

Hi, an iframe will do this for you, but not the best for the SE's finding & indexing you.
    Link to iframe help.

sidebars? do you mean scroll bars? If so the iframe will produce them when there is enough content. Other wise its not needed.
        Regards Chris.

DO you see the way the left column never moves, while the main text can be scrolled up and down? Thats what I mean.

SOrry - massive learning curve here and I dont know the lingo!

Hi, yes, this is a frame & can be done, but will involve a lot of work if your not sure on using code. Here is a way to do this.
But BV & an iframe will be a lot quicker. It just means having one more scroll bar on the page. There is also some tips here on iframes.
            Regards Chris.
