    FF displays pictures on top of light box while some pics are behind.

    Hi there,

    This is my first time i have posted to this thread. Although i have been a member for about 10 months now. my client ID is 19571

    Now i have two websites that are hosted with my vodahost account. the problem is with the sub domain that i have built for my wife.

    The problem i am having is specific to the lightbox feature. With Firefox when i preview or upload, after i have clicked on one of the pictures to display that picture in the lightbox it comes up as it should but some of the other pics that should stay greyed as and it is behind if that makes sense. well they also appear bright also. In IE7 it works fine. Why in firefox do some of the pictures stay in the background while a few of them are in the foreground with the lightbox pic that is being displayed.

    this is really frustrating to me as it is wasting me alot of time. i have tried moving the pics to the back which does work sometimes but then another pic lights up in the foreground that wasnt doing it previously. too see what i mean please visit link below:

    click on one of the pics and scroll down and you will see the highlighted pics that should stay in the background. but you must use firefox.

    kind regards

    Vaughan.

    Hi, you need to 1st start with building your pages from the far left of your BV screen & then use the page properties to centre all items using the largest item on the page. Which for you would be 990 with the http://www.justdyelightful.com/bv01282.png image.
    You also have several items on the page at the very bottom right of your page that is creating a lot of side scroll. Here are some of them.

    <div id="bv_Shape46" style="position:absolute;left:1411px;top:2820px;wi dth:87px;height:42px;z-index:29" align="center">
    <img src="bv01393.gif" id="Shape46" align="top" alt="" title="" border="0" width="87" height="42"></div>
    <div id="bv_Shape47" style="position:absolute;left:1549px;top:2820px;wi dth:87px;height:42px;z-index:30" align="center">
    <img src="bv01394.gif" id="Shape47" align="top" alt="" title="" border="0" width="87" height="42"></div>
    <div id="bv_Shape48" style="position:absolute;left:1658px;top:2634px;wi dth:384px;height:226px;z-index:31" align="center">
    <img src="bv01395.gif" id="Shape48" align="top" alt="" title="" border="0" width="384" height="226"></div>
    <div id="bv_Text9" style="position:absolute;left:1387px;top:2786px;wi dth:263px;height:16px;z-index:32" align="center">

    On the images being not right in FF. I am using Firefox/3.0.4, are you using the latest version, as all seems to be ok here. The only other thing that would help the page, is reducing the kb’s. Its at around 2.4meg at the mo & would be better around the 240kb mark.
    Regards Chris.

      Hi Chris,

      Thanks for the reply. Oh that is why i havent been able to get rid of that scroll bar that scrolls to the right. i just didnt check low enough down to see why. i had changed the length a lot earlier in the website build and i guess it was out of my page margins that i reset. so thankyou. that is one problem solved.

      in regards to firefox i am running version 3.0.4. hmmm i dont know why. i have solved the problem though. previously i had each pic in its own lightbox. now i have 8 of them in one light box in one column and spaced out. does same effect and it works fine.

      i guess due to my pics that makes the pages bigger. as you can see i have also designed a page for each button. i know this is downloading everything each time each button is used but i cant use frames in bluevoda and i am not a html expert. so this is the only way i can think of to keep buttons and stuff the same and change content in the next window.

      if you have any other suggestions to a better build i would gladly take them on board. or i would try to.

      anyway thx heaps.

      kind regards

      Vaughan.
