Not all of us have the luxury of being so cavilier, Gary.....
Relationships with vendors and mega-companies often means being put into the role of playing cop just to keep that relationship alive, and when you depend on certain products or services in a business, it's simply a concern that nags you always unless a reasonable solution can be found!
I may be pretty successful doing what I am doing, but even I cannot afford to constantly pull tens of thousands of dollars out of my butt to make a BS lawsuit go away just because I didn't do my "due diligence"! >>and googling doesn't work for images....it often provides a means to track yours, however, depending if you relabel/retitle them and keep track of the names....

... and even half the time there is no point of starting a lawsuit because you are just gonna waste money getting a lawyer if needed.

Exactly! That's why I have a real POLICY on my sites, like this one pulled off my mall which pretty much gets me off the hook for so many other companies, but also allows the "laywer letter" technique to be so effective:
All content, systems, technologies, images, copyrights, servicemarks and trademarks are protected under US Federal and International Laws, and are vigorously defended by respective owners and registrants. Every instance of infringement or other violation are promptly referred to and fully prosecuted by the FBI and Interpol.

That's it from me....no matter how I try to keep it brief, I get wrangled into "novelettes".....back to work I go!

Re: Locking Images To Prevent Copying

Ok, enough now. I have the answer I'm looking for - basically it resides with the consience of people viewing the sites not to rip off the images...

If their sad enough to do so, then so be it!...

The fact that someone is sad enough to get a solicitor / Lawyer involved bothers me some what! Lol! I was only interested in protecting the images that were entrusted to me from another company.

                Thread finished...Laid to bed!...Totally Crucified!!!!...Murdered even....

I noticed the new time listing. Telling people GMT-# I like it, hope it adjusts for daylight savings time.

Just like Amanda, looks like Votahost never stops working.
