Tip on seeing who’s responsible for your spam.

An associate of mine has a very strict policy in the company about new customers that wish to affiliate a business to their company catalogue. They receive many thousands of orders every day & with a large number of staff you can imagine the junk mail they receive is to say the least is a pain. One thing they had noticed is that a lot of email campaigns like to personalize the email with your name.
So they have had some software put in place that randomly adds an extra 1/2/3 initials to employees names that are sent out to any new clients that they deal with.
The system then catalogues these names so employees can cross reference any emails that they receive with these extra initials to any junk mail that may be received.
So the moral of this story is miss-spell or randomly add an extra initial to your 1st & 2nd name if you next time you fill out a form on line & keep a reference to who you sent it to. You will soon start to know where some of your junk mail may of originated from.

    Chris.
