Has my new website been banned by Google?

I was very impressed that my new website www.addoadventure.com was listed with Google in a very short time. I made the school boy error of only doing a meta tag analyzer on my index page. When I checked and streamlined a couple of my other pages, I found a warning of possible content being seen as pornographic due to signing a letter in a comedy section www.addoadventure.com/funny_bone.html with xxx (kisses not porn) I have checked on google and the listing of my actual sight name is no longer there. This must be the shortest listing in history! 2 days and it's off...

Please see if you can find any reason for delisting other than this error (which i have deleted any way) How long until Google comes back and re-lists me on their engine?

Please help I'm dead in the water if banned by Google.
    Cheers.

    Play..

You had one too many beers.. its there

You are a new site.. you arent gonna be in the top ranks over night. I dont know what you searched FOR, but it has a couple of your pages already.

Did you do anything besides the xxx to get banned? HMMM? If you didnt then no worries. Thats why i am constantly harping on the tried and true even if it takes longer than the spammy and trendy. Eventually as these search engine bots get smarter and smarter you wont be able to hide bad building!

      Karen,

Thanks for the quick response. I found the same two listings earlier but those are 2 pages of many and yesterday my actual index page was listed, which is listed no longer. Am i being stupid, para or is there a problem?

      Cheers

If you want to know what google has spidered, go to google and type in

        site:www.yoursite.com

and it will show all the pages of your site that it has to this point spidered, those other results are just what one finds if they search for you by name. I just read somethign yesterday that google is now spidering weekly and resuts can vary every 3 or 4 days instead of 3 to 4 weeks, and rank can fluctuate more often too!

Re: Has my new website been banned by Google?

If your home page had indexed and banned, all pages off that name would be banned. They don't ban just a single page from a website. The pages that have been indexed have most likely been done because they found a link to them somewhere and followed it.

Since you have no navigation on your site, you're lucky they've found ANYTHING. And they would have other pages, if those they found had navigation to them. Google and all se's, do not come to your site necessarily from the home page - they come to it (and send people to it) based on links to that page (and in the case of sending people- based on the page having what that particular search is about).

                Beth,
I think i've missed the boat (brand new), please exlain "no navigation on your site" and how would i increase page listings based on what you saw on my site, mistakes you picked up?

I've followed plenty of your submissions and threat my website as a work in progress and a excellent learning curve. I've tried to learn from other's mistakes and now my own. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us newbie's...

You don't have navigation on any page - navigation are the links to go from page to page - look at other websites - use those in my signature if you want - notice the navigation bar with all my pages, etc - that way when you go from page to page, you can do so. Right now, if I find one of your pages, it is a dead end - I can't get to any other part of your site.

Re: Has my new website been banned by Google?

i asked the question and then tried on of my pages and that that same dead end. Am I right in say there should be "home" button at least? Because of the high info content in the site i didn't make use of generic drop down boxes. Beth i value your input, so would you carry the drop down boxes through or is home button good enough?

No, a home button isn't good enough - nor do you want the navigation to be by a drop down box. You want all the pages to have their own navigation (or at least most of them) from ALL pages. At least put text links in a footer - but people do not want to have to go from home to a page and back to home to find another page.
