    nav bars or text menu

At firsr, I used "menu bars" for site navigation. When I ran my site in a meta tag analizer, the url's and text did not show up. I swiched to "navigation" bars and text and url's showed up. How are text menus better than navigation bars?

Re: nav bars or text menu

It depends on how they are displayed on your site. If you are using a menu bar that is showing as javascript to the se's - it means they can't read it (although if you entered the alt text, they should have read that with no problem).

SE's and people with text only browsers require text to be able to read what you've got on the page - therefore using text menus helps. And if the navigation bar can be read in text format (which the ones in BV can) then there really shouldn't be a problem - except that it might not display exactly the same in a text browser.

Thanks, I did put alt. text in my nav bars. Menu bars do not take alt. text and do not show up with text or url's. Is my observation right?
