The easiest way is to run ROR directly on their site. Click on http://www.rorweb.com/rormap.htm

enter your site URL and click on "Generate Sitemap". Then copy the generated file on your computer, and from it to your site, as ror.xml

You can also run ROR directly on your sitemap page, so it will find all the links. Just make sure that your manual sitemap links are correct. You can do that through BV, using the Link Verifier

Thanks Naval... I have followed your insturctions, but when I get to adding the line of code to the <head> on my index page, I am lost again.
Where&#180;s my head? Thought it stayed with me at all times. but seems to be somewhere unknown.

Then there is the problem of how do I upload to my root directory?

I found the page html by right clicking the page and I copied it into the between the head. Is that right?

I'm sorry but i don't understand. What line of code you try to put in your page html ? and why ?

If you have created a sitemap page as mine, go to the ror site and run ror giving in the URL field the URL of your sitemap page. Ror will generate the necessary code (in xml). Copy the code. Open Notepad, paste the code in it, and go to Save As, select File type "All files", and save it "ror.xlm" inside your BV folder. Upload this "ror.xlm" file on your site, using BlueFTP. You're done.

                  Re: Your Google Sitemap

Naval, Sorry to be so abtuse.
When I click on the ROR site you have provided I add my URL to the http line and click. The program then tells me that it has found 10 URLs, I am told "when done, just copy the code above and paste it into a text editor (e.g. Notepad), save the file as ror.xml (or sitemap.xml), and upload the file into the top (or root) folder of your website (don't paste the code into your page). " I have done that.
Next is a box with a line of code that I am to
"Add this line in the <head> of your main page for the search engines (If you name your sitemap file sitemap.xml , be sure to also change this tag to reflect that):" I have done that as well, BUT!!!

What I thought was happening was the ROR program would generate the map for me, but if I understand you correctly from message above, I need to design a site map page and then do the RORfeedgen. Is that correct?

                      Re: Your Google Sitemap

Let me explain: ror, as other sitemappers too, CANNOT create a visual sitemap for visitor use. Others, on the other hand, can, but i don't really like the result. So I created my own manually, as it can be seen in www.navaldesign.info/sitemap.html , then i had my sitemaper create the xml file that i uploaded on my site, and i also submitted to ggogle. So, the visual part, as my page, helps the visitor find what he wants. The xml file, created by ROR or anyother sitemaper, helps the SE find all the links in your site.

                          Re: Your Google Sitemap

                          Hi from Phil in Oz

I cannot download ROR or NET due to my PC having problems with XP SP2.

I intend changing to Vista later on when it is released. I'll probably wait for version 3.0 (ha ha) V SP8 (ha ha).

Anyway, is there an easy way to create a site map in BV? I will have about 20-30 pages when complete with some second tier pages that wont be linked from the Home Page. Obviously from what I've read in the Forum it has to be Googlerisable (hey I created a new term (ha, ha)).

                          Thanks
                          Phil Cartledge (Aussie Phil)

Read the posts above. You can run ROR directly from their website, without downloading or installing anuthing. Then just copy the code created, save it on your computer as ror.xml , upload it on your public_html, and create a link in your home page, to the ror file.
