Sitemap Format

I created and published my site map using the tool with VB......Google came back with errors stating it was in the wrong format.....any suggestions?

Did you submit it as "sitemap.xml"?

I used the site map generator they give with the website builder....and called it sitemap.xml then published........

Right--I know it sounds like a silly question, but the other day I put something other than "sitemap.xml" in the field when Google asked. (I forget what I put)--I answered your question assuming you were asking about Google's Webmaster Tools sitemap analyzer.
