Removing Pages

Simple question.

If i remove a page from the internet, should i remove it from google & if so, why ?

hmm ... well you essentially cannot remove a page from google listings, however, if you have a page that is listed in google then continue to use this page - do so by placing a redirect on this page to another page that you will be keeping for sure - example of such page, index page or contact page ...
