help with site map

hello
i upload the site map in the public folder
but what i need to do now
create a new page with the name site map?
and if yes what i need to put in this page ?
in web master tool if i try to add a site map the have a
ww.mydomain.com/index.html/and here need to addsitemap i think
ww.mydomain.com/index.html/sitemap like that
but my problem is tha i dont know what to put in this page

Hi! What type of sitemap have you created? A HTML sitemap for your visitors or an XML sitemap for the Search Engines?

In either case, you are probably better of publishing either of these to your public_html folder, so that they appear either as mydomain.com/sitemap.html or mydomain.com/sitemap.xml

it is xml file and already up load it to public.html folder i make this for the search engines do i need to put it to my web ?
because in the web master tool there that say up load sitenap or they mean site map for the visitors?

Just give them the mydomain.com/sitemap.xml you uploaded and you will be fine...You do not need a separate one for each search engine...Just one will suffice.
