    Re: Search Engine submission

I'm certainly no guru of the net, but I can tell you that it takes time. My first site took about 6 months to start showing up.

It does take time, you can do some things that will help ...

      1. Read the ebook by Bethers ... seo tips (a member of this forum)

      2. Submit your site to google, you can sign up and submit it, don't know if this is any faster, but at least you know they will have the information ..

      3. Put a sitemap on your website ... there is information found here in the forum in regards to doing that ...

      4. Find relevant sites that are willing to link to your site and vice versa ...

And it does take time ....

Here's a link to the SEO book Holly mentioned:
        SEO - The Basics

It's going to take time for you to come up in searches by the search engines - and hard work. But, yes, you can do it.

And if this is your first website with VH - you can put in a support ticket for them to submit it to all the search engines one time only.

            Re: Search Engine submission

Yes mine took a while, certain keyphrases popped up but as Bth explained to me sites can be sandboxed. This is so google gets time to see if your website is worthy of adding to there list, this can take around 6 months or more, so patients is the key and nothing comes overnight.

Certainly read Beths book to get a good idea of what you need to do.
