How does SE handle pop up pages

    Hello VH members!

First, you guys rock! I really appreciate the comments you provided on my last post.

It's funny but I am starting to see some google pick up on my site today. So, here is my next question.

How does the search engines handle pop up pages. I have a separate page for each watch that I am selling, sold or coming in to my estore. Each page is names using "-" as suggested between key words, text, meta data and a photo gallery. Each of these pages are linked to an image on the main for sale, sold or coming soon pages.

Do the search engined pick up these pop up pages? They are the easiest for me to create and manage, but is there a better way to handle product pages? Your experience and expertise is very much appreciated.

This was a really old post that was not answered, so you may have the answer now.

pop up pages that just "pop" up are bad.

Pop up pages that you have a link on your site and someone clicks it and it opens is fine. It depends on what type of pop up you have it open in. if you have it open as a page and it has no tags or content it will not reflect well with Google, but you can tell Google to not crawl that link and it will never see it.

I would put " rel="nofollow"> at the end of the hyper link url.

If you re using the photo gallery, it automatically does it for you :)

a good example is http://www.thecoloringbarn.com you will see how I did the pop ups.
