I've known Mark Jackson (and his partner Bill Hartzer) personally for a long very time, and he still leads the pack when it comes to cutting-edge IT and Consumer Apps. Now that his newest company Vizion has perpetuated his leadership with professional SEO Services, it is only fitting to share some of the tip that clients and collaborators freely pass around even here with the VodaTalk Forums.
This is all about putting meat on the bones of "SEO Audits" so everyone can not only be better prepared to effectively meet the task head-on, but fully comprehend the larger picture so they will understand the relevance of the constantly evolving smaller picture with regard to SEO strategies.
The 'Audit Primer' discussed here and provided via a link below is particularly useful for users of Blue Voda, as it will serve as a "Checklist" of important items to address as they build their websites.
SEO Audit
By Bill Hartzer
In Vizion Interactive’s push towards allowing everyone to get an honest opinion and/or honest and good feedback about whether or not your search engine optimization efforts have a passing grade, Vizion Interactive has put together a free SEO Audit template.
We believe that if you really want an honest opinion of your search engine optimization efforts, it is best to get multiple companies and/or individuals to perform an SEO audit of your web site. It is helpful to organize the information to be included in the SEO audit and give each the same set if criteria by which to perform the Search Engine Optimization audit.
Organizing your SEO audit will make sure that you are requesting the same information from each search engine optimization company or SEO consultant. After the SEO audit, you should have reasonable consensus on how well your web site is optimized for the search engines. We recommend that you hire an “odd number” of “SEO auditors”; this way you will not end up in a “tie”, meaning that half of them think your SEO efforts are great and the other half think your search engine optimization efforts need a lot of work. You should also expect that not only will you get opinions on each of the items we list in the SEO audit document, you will also get some further recommendations that you can act upon.
We look forward to hearing more suggestions, especially if it includes other factors that should be included in an SEO audit. In the meantime, here is Version 1 of the Search Engine Optimization Audit. (Free Viewable/Downloadable Word Document)
