Yahoo has announced that Carol Bartz is to be their new chief executive. Bartz, a 60 year old IT industry veteran, is the former boss of Autodesk.
Bartz takes on the role given up by Yahoo founder Jerry Yang. Yang stood down following criticism of his rejection of the $47 billion takeover attempt by Microsoft.
