I've been receiving this message lately:

A usb device has exceeded the power limits of it’s hub port. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message. You should disconnect the device.

There is no usb device connected.
When I click on it to reset it keeps coming back.
Have run three spyware and four virus programs without joy.

Any boffins out there that can assist?

Thanks bill.
Read the links you gave, Probably the machine has a short.

It is under gaurantee, but I can't afford to be without it for now.

Also tried suggestions mentioned, nothing helped.
Definitely a short circuit.
