Re: Google Data Collection... Be Worried!!
I really want to go back to the middle ages with my warbow! Back then life was simple, there was warfare, *******, starvation but if you managed to avoid those life was simple and you knew where you stood. Nowadays you have to second, third and fourth guess everything to the point where you don't really know whats real and what is paranoia, it's all very George Orwell. Google good or bad? Probably both, or more likely started off good and has now started going wonky as more suits wade in and business takes over. Given the power of google does anyone see that one result of picking a fight with them could, or probably will, result in rankings lower than the deepest ocean abyss! Maybe the thrust of any action/pressure should be trying to point out the worst excesses but try to avoid outright confrontation?
I tell you what would be good, how about a guide to protecting yourself in the digital world, simple everday things the average bod (me) can implement to make things harder for the 'big boys' but safer for us. We could send that out to everyone in our email lists along with articles like the one which started off this thread.
Tea anyone?
