    Re: Chat/forum

Forums are better, in my opinion, because they build a community. New people can read the posts already on the forum to get a feel for it, and chat doesn't allow that.

                    Re: Chat/forum

I believe chat rooms are nice when there isn noting else to do. LOL... But my question to all who can answer it is, what are our limitations to this site? What can, and can't we post? These sound like stupid questions, but I am new here, and know hardly anything about this site.

I am very new here, and would love to get to know both the people, and the site much better. Thanks bunches, Chelsea

Yes, I agree that messageboards are better in most cases but in my case I am building an anime community site and a chat room could play a major part in the site experience through character role playing which is what most anime fans look for in a site, unfortunitly my site may suffer for not adding this element. Had I known before hand that I couldn't use a chat feature, I would have s****ped the anime site idea.

You can use a chat room that's hosted on another company's server easily enough. Check out sigmachat.com for one example.

I'm allready having enough trouble publishing on voda, I published and the site is an "index of" list. I don't think I need the headache of another server host at this point, but thanks for the info, I will look into that as soon as I get my publishing prob's solved.
