3.0.4 change to new 3.0.6

Hi guys,
Karen helped me last time to update the last version of my forum (heard some bad news....really sorry for what happened).
Was wondering if there's anyone who can give me a hand. I've read the instructions but really don't want to try an screw up the last 5 years work and almost 300 members I have.
The main reason I want to update it is due to a problem of sending 'mass mail' to all members (aparently an issue with phpbb 3.0.4 version)

The process is pretty straight forward of copying and over righting files, the only problem that will arise is when you have added a modification to the forum, these will no longer work or you you may in some cases get a internal server error. you will need to reinstall the mods not always easy, always a good idea to do a back up of the database just incase.

I recently went straight from 2.05 to 3.04, so you can imagine it was indeed a bit traumatic

As soon as the 3.06 beta was approved I moved on to it to keep up to date and had no major issues. The best thing that you can do is make a back up of your current forum, upload your 3.06 and install the back-up. Recheck all your mods and correct as necessary.

It worked like a charm for me.

Go into your cpanel then enter fantastico it will tell you to update phpbb. Click update and your done!
