Thanks for the thoughts Sharon...and wouldn't you know it the generator my Dad ordered won't get here till next week...lol.

But my mother believes in stocking so we are good in case of the long haul.

We're used to hurricanes and have gotten better over the years. As long as I'm up ...I'll keep you all posted on things down here.

So far so good friends...we had some heavy showers and wind last night for about 2 hours but it has been calm since then. I suspect as ussual when it get s closer we'll so more of everything.

Yeah I was in India with my Mom and my poor Dad al by himself until my sister got home to keep him company...and it was scary. I felt for you guys in the states...you kept gettin rammed over and over ...I didn't think you all could take another one...but you survived and that's what counts...:)

I remeber during Ivan (2004)...my entire apartment got totaled becuse it the south coast (Negril) and ther was sandand rocks in my apartment..(I lived on the cliffside then...and we had no electricity or water for 2 weeks...it was awful.

Yeha I was looking at it's path and 5 AM...I'll probalby get up with Dad and watch it...it is exhilarating as it is scary...have to make sure the rof stays on...lol

We had water but no power, hot, sticky cold showers...that was the only thing cold.Ha Ha Had to cook on the outside grill, made coffee there too
