"AT 11 AM AST...1500Z...THE GOVERNMENT OF JAMAICA HAS ISSUED A
TROPICAL STORM WARNING AND A HURRICANE WATCH FOR JAMAICA."
Lot of rain for Jamaica and winds around 39mph - not real bad.
Good luck Beezzz
Florida was bad last year. Lot of people are still repairing homes.
And I promised to find out more with my contact and let it slip by.
Thanks Bill...this is so wonderful....this forum has got the best people on it and I think you all for your best wishes and kind thoughts. And I wnat to wish the best for everone nad all the otherr little isalnds that will get affected and hope it tames down to justa storm..those I love....
Here's a sobering thought folks...did you know that they predict 21 storms this year and we are only on the 5th one....now hta's something to think about...but hopefully none of them will get past the storm stage this year.
It is scary, after last year. I feel for all the little islands and don't know how they make it. Bill, where are you? I stii have loose tiles on my roof, can't anyone out yet they are to busy. The same with my fence, they say we are on a list.

Our roof held quite well during Ivan at 130 miles (category 4) and we only had a little leaking....it was scary becuase I was in NEgril and my family was on the otherside and we lost connection for a week...we did'nt know what happpened to each other.
Yup...we all got through it fine and it's a story to remember and really makes you appreciate those in your life.
I think in JA as long as it doesn't get past a Cat. 1 hurricane and goes by fast...we'll be happy....lol...even a cat 2 we could survive but past that is a lot of damage for our island and worse for small islands like the CAymans...boy do they suffer... I think of them asa little pimple on the Caribbean...lol

Thanks Brent....I think we''ll be ook and that it will remain a storm even while it passes us and I hope some of our winds will go down so it does not pick up and become a hurricane as it passes for all else.
( I did try use my SGQUB powers and that's why it's still a storm....hehhe)
Times like this makes it even a bit fun for everyone to gather at Couples to swig down Hummingbirds while it roars past... (Seeing as how they have some of the largest solid buildings around)
Thanks Sharon...It's been good so far...we had some heavy rain but it petered out and now it's clearr again..

Yeah but everytime a mojor one hits the Negril area...major seaweed problem and beahc erosion....sad really but the buildings have held well and the staff at hotels are all hurricane aware and trained.
