    Microsoft OR Mac

    Hey everyone!

I just wanted to know who uses Microsoft and who uses Mac and would like to know why and why you don't use the other. Would be pretty interesting to see people's comments.

    - I personally rather Microsoft. All though Microsoft does try too hard to be better then everything. Just last week I saw Microsoft Spaces .. talk about cloning MySpace BUT I could never give the chance to try a Mac but I am scared that I will not like it and waste my money + I have been using Microsoft for so long that once I get a Mac I will not be used to it at all, and it would take a while as well as some software are not supported for Mac.

    Let me know...
    Best regards,
    Jeremy

    Hiya Jeremy,

I am a Microsoft man too. The last ***** computer I touched was the ***** IIE and as you probably know that was a looooooooooooooooooong time ago. I am also with you on trying to learn how to use another's browser or services. I just wish IE 6.0 had tabbed browsing!

        Riiiight.........

I'm MS-committed, but I am NOT looking forward to the 9-17 months of pure chaotic hell while the bugs get worked out and systems fry trying to keep up with communicating with each other........

Most critical applications have been scrambling to set up web-based online platforms to avoid software failures (without real solutions present) and to offer single-stable access generically. It ain't rocket science, and not just the idea of IBM and SAP to name a few! That's why I set up a Forum to act as a 'platform' for my company, where they can find embedded applications, training vids & manuals, accounting modules, CRM tools, etc.

        IMO

I find myself alternating between IE and AOL just for this very reason.....with a lot of pages open, it's just easier for me to keep my act straight.

Pros and cons for both, *****'s tend to be pricier, they are great for designer and drawing and the word is that they get less virus attacks than Microsoft/Linux computers - not sure about that.

Yep, but its a matter of preference and use/application.

                    Re: Microsoft OR Mac

I use Microsoft - when I try and use my brother's Mac I don't know where I am. He swears by them though! He had to reluctantly buy a PC recently though, as some crucial software for his business wouldn't run on a Mac.

At least most stuff works with Windows - and I'm too old to learn new tricks!

Hehehe everything works with Windows .. and recently releasing their new MAC version that will let you put Windows on it will probably raise sales with MACS
