    Can you imagine? Hahaha

"Each evening birdlover Tom stood in his backyard, hooting
like an owl - and one night, an owl called back to him.
For a year, the man and his feathered friend hooted back
and forth. He even kept a log of the "conversation."

Just as he thought he was on the verge of a breakthrough
in interspecies communication, his wife had a chat with
    her next door neighbor.

"My husband spends his nights ... calling out to owls," she said.

"That's odd," the neighbor replied. "So does my husband."

    Then it dawned on them.

lol, Bill did his wife mind?...lmao!

just joking of course, how did you wind up with an owl as a pet?
One morning I had gone outside, it was still dark. Understand that Im at the very top of the mountain. Up here you can hear a pin drop, or other little forrest noises...Well I heard this amazing noise of (understand Ive never heard this noise so its very difficult to explain) screeching like screams. It made me follow the noise to the sky, and Id be darned if it was as yelling coming closer! Thats about scared at least a couple years off me, I figured out that it had to be flying and towards me, what it was I didnt know, just that it was loud seemingly big and coming my way!...lol...so I ran back inside. Im afraid of the dark any way..hehehe..The ranger who lives at the bottom the the hill said that it was probably an owl.
          Cool experience tho....scary too!

If you want scary how about this? One of the women at the stables went down to the notorious 'bottom boxes' alone last week after dark, (the lights were on though) and caught sight of something out of the corner of her eye. She turned, and a figure about 4 foot tall raised at her and brushed past her! Seems she saw one of the notorious 'Limebrook ghosts'!

She left the boxes in a hurry, put her horse out, then went to put the headcollar away in the tack room. She swung roung the door only to be confronted with another figure - this time she screamed out loud... and the figure screamed back! It was one of the other women! I think they gave each other heart attacks!

I put the story of the ghost sighting on the Limebrook site, and the very next day had a long email from someone who used to ride there in the 1980s - she had a few stories of her own to tell about hearing ghosts around the stables.

            Bit spooky, eh?

I've not seen one myself - but I won't go down the bottom boxes alone at night!
