Hi I am new and my name is Abu.

Somewhere across the seas, far far away is a peninsular called Malaysia which is my home. Where the sun is always shining and the rain never stop coming. Somehow we are blessed and protected from earth quakes, volcanoes and the mighty typhoons but recently had a slight brush with the mighty Tsunami which wiped out Aceh in Indonesia.

zuriatman is my username which literally means "Descendant Man" a Malay geneoalogical term. Before this I was hybridman which is my passion, collecting, hybridizing and photographing orchids.

I have always wanted to have my own website but was not sure of how to go about it until I found Voda Host the hosting service which is a complete service provider in every aspect of web hosting services required by anyone. So I decided to take the plunge and here I am saying hello to all of you.

Hi Kate,

I am setting up a family tree website, My Family Tree. I got interested when I first found a termite eaten family tree book of my ancestors published in 1967 but the contents date back to the 1700's. The book was incomplete in its contents. Then I found another book from another branch of the family with my name it and a thousand over relatives. and another and another so I decided the Book Should Stop Here.

So I started a computer program to merge all the books into one computer program where a relative can be found a click away instead of in volumes.

That is about the gist of it and I want my site to be interesting as it will be dealing with the living descendents who would want to do a search on their ancestor. The site should not be morose and sombre with drab colors but more enlightening and interesting it its format. There will also be stories from the past, the heroes, the politicians, the nationalist etc.etc.
I have already started the an impossible of trying to collect ID photos and photos from the past. I even have some photos of Brighton , England in the thirties. That is the geneoalogy part. I am still figuring how my home page should look like and how to add in the other complimentry aspect of the page without restricting to just geneoalogy.

Very Cool Abu~my mom has been doing our family geneology for years..She is the reason that I now have 'Old Faded Memories' as she needed so many of the photos retouched for the 'viewing album' of course the original album is in tact, but she doesnt bring it out for looking as touch and wear and tear is not good for old photos.
This is a search I have on my site, is this something you would be interested in?

I like your old faded memories web page it. A picture replaces a 1000 words. A 1000 words is too many to digest.
