Thanks for asking! Well, not a great score, (48%), but at least I stayed on and roughly remembered the test!

Good fun and I've got a great sense of achievement! Well, I did beat my son - he got 47%! Hee Hee (I did so think it was going to be the other way around!)

Oh, and here's a picture of me and me horsey! She'd decided there was something pretty scarey in the arena, and was a bit of a handful as you can see! Not quite the calm collected dressage horse you're supposed to have!

A spooked horse and you still hung on and got 48%.. that's good effort.. you have done far better job than me, dear.

Er... the wind got up and woke all the monsters up in the bushes, car going past out of sight, huge union jack painted on a shed by the side of the arena, a low flying aircraft - we had it all! Oh, and of course the judges sitting in their car were very scarey!

She bolted just as the bell rang for us to enter the arena, so I had to get her back under some sort of control and go straight in! I then headed up the middle supposedly straight towards the judges, but she didn't like their car and veered off to the side (the wrong side of course, so the straight line was an interesting squiggle)! After that it was just a case of staying on and trying to roughly get through the test! Circles were a bit of a funny shape as she kept trying to make a beeline for the exit.

I thought the judges would say 'this rider must learn how to control a horse', but my husband videoed it, and I must admit that it didn't look quite as bad as it felt. My shoulders are aching today as testament to how much I was having to hold her back!

It was really great fun though - may have to wait until next year to do it again as the horses will be coming in for the winter soon and that means she will be turning into a bucking bronco! I don't fancy doing rodeo!
