Hush Puppies is a Brand, first of all, and they were the first to come out with it (they were mock toe, and sewn around the top).
Desert Boots were more square toe, with a knurl/rib sewn around the top.....Florsheim, Kinney, Tom McCann, and a few others fell in line with their own.....
