Bow locks are the starting point for London games?

It has just been announced that the work shall start on the London Olympics games site. The 1st job is to put a larger lock in place on the river lea. The town where this river runs through is called “Bow” So naturally this is called “bow locks”.
What a good start the games! Its just as well we didn’t have to have 2 or 3 locks installed, otherwise
we would have had a load of bow locks.
    Regards Chris.

Hi LE - I'm fine! Babysitter is about right! Having a right laugh on our board - it's been invaded by kids who keep PMing me and the other talkative adults. So I set up a private restricted forum where we go to hide from them! fun 'cos they know nothing about it! (the kids even started a 'isn't Trish great' forum with a poll!! I have to keep closing down threads about people falling off horses - there have been a couple of serious injuries down the yard since someone put the first 'have you ever fallen off a horse' thread up and it seemed to be tempting fate! Ambulance out 3 times in one week - 2 serious and kept in hospital (I was one of the other fallers but didn't hurt myself luckily!)

Anyway - getting a new car next week. After ages hunting and looking settled on a Citroen C4 which is actually the replacement for my old car. Hope it will be as good and as much fun. (2 ltr engine so should go ok!)

I didn't catch the news - fancy trying to keep a straight face!

Are you going to be affected by the games? I suffer the delights of the North London line every night through to Stratford so will see quite a lot of the building going on.

Hi, No! thank goodness, I’m to the north of London, Mill Hill / Hendon. But the odd thing is my friend is trying to get compensation from the Olympic committee at the moment. It’s a strange one, but he has a “snap on” tool franchise, & his area is where they have just compulsory purchased a lot of land, & one part was where he supplied 15 garages with equipment & tools. These garages have all been paid off & moved out of the area. Now because he is a franchise, he is only allowed to sell within certain post codes, & all these garages have move from his allotted post codes.
Hope he gets some sort of compensation.

              Cheers
              Regards Chris.

You know what Chris, he likely will ... At least here we would. Many businesses throughout the years have been compensated for this type of happening or any interruptions ... not all are approved and you need to show "cause" for loss ... but I bet he will ... And to think things are not crowded and hectic enough eh!! Would be great to be around for all the hype though when it all happens.
