However, it really is an overall general issue, it's not about pointing fingers at anyone ... it's really about trying to convey the correct methods, etc. by any and all members

But....he is right.
There are a lot of posts made with incorrect solutions or obvious wrong guesses, and those in need of assistance tend to gobble anything offered up like candy, so having some sort of "standard" is important, as LadyEye suggested.

There are even some "Officers" that are looked up to that consistently give bad help, and this is not good. (I have myself on more than one occasion stood correction, and admitted my misunderstanding!)
I would support an effort such to have a minimal testing, or qualifications "test"......might even be a precursor to a "specializations" advanced training?

In the Old Days, there weren't as many people in VT, and a person's reputation for accuracy and truthfullness was readily apparent, and in that "old-school" way, was the primary motivator to keep everyone self-disciplined (if you don't know, don't post). Wasn't that originally why we post our sites, to provide an example?
With so many more opportunities to post, many newcomers valiantly try to help despite being able to help themselves first.

Exactly my point, my friend. People come here looking for help and too often lately, they are given answers which either don't apply at all to their particular circumstances, or they are given very difficult solutions instead of the very easy ones that make a ton more sense.

Since most of them aren't familiar with this type of forum, they aren't aware of the search feature available, so they take to heart what they're being spoon fed by a few idiots who want to patrol this forum pretending they know everything.

Yep, I said 'idiots', but as our resident EYE in the sky suggested, I'm not pointing fingers or naming names, that's not the point. The people on this forum who provide genuine, helpful answers to people know that they have my utmost respect. If anyone happens to read this and says, "I wonder if he respects me?", odds are I don't. If I did, you'd know it. (This excludes most of you with whom I've never interacted.)

I'm just sick of reading posts from some members giving new people bad information.

Trust me, I was perfectly happy just lurking here once a day or so and offering a post or two, but with the things I've seen lately, I've felt compelled to post more. I'll never meet any of these people, but I'll be damned if I'll stand by and let them get frustrated and give up because they are given complicated instructions to simple problems by members who are more interested in trying to prove their (used loosely) "knowledge" than actually helping.

They all, as we all once did, have dreams of building sites and we know that's an exciting thing. But from some of the things they're being told, I can see them giving up that dream, and that's a shame.

So, obviously, I've become involved in this forum once again and I'll stay involved until things even out a little. I'm also aware that I've ruffled a few feathers lately, but the odds are strong that I don't really care. I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to help people.

Okay, get back to the carrying on, y'all are doing a fine job! lol

Some tip for Easter Eggs

You: Darling can you take off your socks
She: You want start again
You: Can you bring mi parsley
She: You are sick
You: Can you put parsley around egg and gently put into
Socks and close with wire.
She: I will call doctor
You: Darling can you bring me onion and take skin off
She: I will call doctor you are sick
You: Please, can you put this onion skin and your socks with egg
Together and cook 10min.
She: And that’s it
You: No we have 10min
She: Ah it’s nice

Okay, where is Aliens, we really need to get all these eggs cleaned up around here, far too much mook & gook lying about ... chickens hatched, feathers ruffled not to mention laps full of cadbury creme, oh my ... I think the fox should have hung around a little more and collected up some of these eggs, the only thing Vasili threatened to shoot the poor fox, now that was not nice, I'll bet you wish that fox was back today Vasili ... look at the mess in here ... oh well, onto turkey for dinner, I can't possibly think of who is going to eat all these eggs, I only wonder if that Easter Bunny has run out of eggs yet, or will more be delivered? lol

I have been "scrambling" all morning, m'Lady, and "eye" seem to be "deviled" by all these "eggs"......looking pretty "foxy" in your Easter get-up yourself!
Feeling as if I am about to "crack" or worse, jump out of the "frying pan" and into the fire, I am trying to decide how to work on my laptop through dinner.

Vasili, hamg was turkey today, lol, and yes he did arrive and ate plenty and I am sure is getting ready again for more, lol ..
