LadyBird Johnson's Death is a real loss

LadyBird Johnson probably is more responsible for the care and monies spent for the environment in this country than any other person. No matter what political party - she worked with any of them to make this country more beautiful.

For those of you who didn't know - the estate that included what was known during LBJ's years as the "Texas White House" was given by the Johnson's to the National Park Service in the 1970's - only allowing for them to live their until their deaths. I toured it and learned more about her a couple years back. Now, with her death, it will become entirely one of our national parks.

I hope most of us have learned lessons about how to take care of our envirnoment - even if we don't know that most of them started with this lady.
