Purpose of Calendar on Top of Forum

I wasn't sure where to post this question but I guess its safe to ask here. What's the purpose of the Calendar on the top row between the Members List and the New Posts? There's nothing on it for 2007. Thanks y'all

Looks to me like it has members birthdays on it!

yes, I noticed, but why did it stop at 2006? We're in 2007 Karen, don't birthdays happen yearly?

The calender is a built in feature of vB. Vodahost may have chosen to not use it or disable it. That may be why it has not changed to the new year. Or there is a bug in the system after installing a mod/hack, and they just don't find it necessary to take the time to fix it
