    Hi, really frustrated newbie here!

Hi everyone, firstly, for building a website I have found BlueVoda excellent. We have a one bedroom bed and breakfast www.hvbandb.co.uk and expect an uptick in business from the site.

HOWEVER - getting the various windows to open correctly - aaarrrgggghhhh!!

From the home page, any page can be opened - try to open a second page and it will either open in a new window (which is not what I want) or will not find the target. New pages cannot be loaded from the page that has successfully opened in a new window.

I think that I have named all the pages correctly and got the links right in the menu button setup.

    Any help??

    Hi,

Getting frustrated will not solve your problem.

Understanding how publishing works and focusing on you problem will.

to open in the same browser window

    Open your webpage in BV
"To open in the same page , right click and goto properties> Link > target

    "Select self".

Or highlight whatever you use and select the hyperlink button in the top toolbar and do the same as above.

If the link does not work then you have not done everything right.

Check your hyperlinks again in properties and use the "Verify tool" in tools
    on the top tool bar.

many thanks - all links verified no problem and all targets are selected to self.

The pages still open in a different window though.

What you want to do is leave the "Target" field empty. Don't select "_self" or anything else, just leave it empty.
