fitting web page into screen

hi - when I made my web pages on my laptop they all fit perfectly in my screen, but when I check out the site on other computers (desktops) I have to scroll to the right, etc. to see all the content. How can I fix this?

Please bare in mind that a website will look diffrent on one
computer to the next. The reason for this is because no two
computers have the exact same settings, resolutions, graphic
cards, cpu, monitors etc, etc......

Solution.....

Design for 600 X 800 . This is the ****tiest resolution. If it looks
good in this. It should look good in everything else.
