    Above the fold or not??

Just looking for opinions one the importance of keeping your website above the fold or keeping important stuff above the fold?

Is using iframes to acheive this frowned upon?

    Example here

Love to hear what your thoughts are.

Ther are alot of pros and cons to it.

At the moment there seems to be more cons than pros.

Search for all the security implications before using it.

The big disadvantage is the ifame page can get a better SE indexing than the page its going on, as it quite likely has better content. This can lead to a lot of visitors getting confused that end up on this page.

I see, yes, that could be a problem.

Oh dear, how to find the balance between esthetics, informational contect and quick page loading times (cause the iframes are super fast in comparison). If it weren't for the SE indexing, I'd probably stick with the iframes for speed.

          Is there anyway around that?

Perhaps not using Meta or keywords on the iframe pages, only on the menu page so that SE indexing directs them to the menu page rather than the iframe page?

Yes, I have. Implemented them now and just finished website, putting in all the meta and keywords now. But even with the php method, its still not as quick as using the iframes, guess we can't have our cake and eat it too!!

              Thanks for your input Chris
