Now I am REALLY concerned......I've already spent a few bucks on a tamplate (no big deal), but my main concern about OSC was all the "fixes" and neener-neener add-on scripts that were proliferating on the back end....an open-ended product that apparently lacked the stability I was trying to eyeball.
***** suggested OSC for my Diamond site, but then came back and said that Soho could also handle just about anything, and was more "user-friendly" than OSC. I have been getting mixed messages ever since I joined....
I can see Soho for the first (lesser) site: TheBlingster, but now think I must re-assess my position and get into OSC also??? What specifically got you to OSC after all your positioning to other non-Voda carts?

And David --- you've been in on this too! You know, what we were discussing earlier???

I've previously avoided anything that looked too complicated and chose to use mals-e as my cart because I thought it would be easier. I didn't want the headache or extra learning involved in adding anything bigger. I didn't choose osC, Race did. Now I have had a go with it, at setting up a 'site', I've just found it quite easy to get around. Of course I haven't covered all aspects, as it's a joint effort, but I've uploaded one of my own that I will 'play' with until I'm happy before I rebuild any of my other sites. I guess, before I tried it, it was a big scary monster.

Yeah....I know.....and for me, it's all about how much customization I can crank out of it without going overboard financially, only to find myself with a site (cart, etc) I can't manage myself....or have my girls do it also.
I really need to move to a position where I am technologically proper but not dependent on an IT staff....

We should not be discussing this here, really, but the customisation side isn't that straightforward. We've done some but for my own purposes, I still have much to learn. I will though.

DavidundAlicia are the joint names of myself and my ***** German wife.

She doesnt speak english(yet) and I dont speak German(yet) so
we communicate in Spanish, french, or Italian......

Actually, I grew up speaking English by default: between the Grandparents, we spoke Norweigen and German (HochDeutsch), and my wife's side is Greek. Makes for interesting Holiday meals....It's no wonder I now have so little hair!

was funny tho didnt realise you could do that , i was meant to say race is my hero etc but fell aslep lol
