Everyone tried to get Baba to make giros pitas...ive never heard of paidakia before.
I surely dont miss tearing pita breads/but I do miss baklava!...yums...and feta olive pies. there was also a hot pepper stuffed with procuitto n mozzerella that was nice!
and the assorted olives...dont even get me started on those!...double yums!
every have watermelon and feta as a salad?

Mmmmm.....making me hungry!my mother-in-law makes the best dolmades and spanakopita. Right now, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Plaka is not the best place to have good food anyway..
Too much a touristic place now. It used to be Athens heart (regarding food and having fun) in the past, and of course it has the advantage of being just at 5 minutes walk form Acropolis. It still is today, but it has become an industrial thing...

I guess things have changed.

I loved going to the markets to buy fruits and goodies, and walking back up to make them fresh. The out for a night to dance to rebettika/bouzouki....did you know my father-in-law is Spiros Skordilis?
And my wife's (Stamatia) natural father is Teddy Kavorakis? (we don't speak of him much nowadays, though).

Still.....my friend Vasili of Rhodos still urges me to return soon. Not only Mayor, he was in charge of Olympic and the island's Team also. Fine man.

Ok all, I made a bold move and decided to come out of the closet. I really tried hard to find a model (like you know who uses) but instead you get the real me! 5'6", Brown/Gray hair, Brown eyes, 51 years young, soon to be grandma, A Rocky Mtn Floor Lady!! No more Marge Simpson Hairdo's. lol
