Made it back from Baja Mexico somewhat unscathed - ok , burned to a crisp. We froze our butts off in Ensenada, only about 100 mi south of San Diego, but actually colder and more windy - and overcast!
About the third day, packed up the car and headed to San Felipe on the warm Sea of Cortez...aka Gulf of California. About a 30 degree difference - yes, freezing to frying, all the time on twisty, windey Mexican roads shared with Mexican truck drivers who clearly don't understand the fundamentals of centripital force. I thought I was going to be a mere spatter in some deep ravine countless times. The last time I was this scared on a road was in Haiti over 20 years ago - those people are CRAZY on the road. If anyone can tell me how to post pictures, I will.
Ah well, only have a few days to prep for a consultant's convention in Las Vegas next week, New York in a month and Guatemala later this summer! Yeow!
Missed you all
