Photos and background color has disappeared

I've published some new and corrected pages lately, but the background color no longer shows on the site and the photos I used have also disappeared. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sorry, Vasili - should have known that. The domain is httrsales.com, a sub of safetytrigo.com. My background colors and the photos on httrsales.com have disappeared. I appreciate your help.

Re: Photos and background color has disappeared

If you are using BV12, you must create new pages using the CLONE or COPY+PASTE method only to duplicate elements across the pages rather than the "SAVE PAGE AS" method. Also, BV12 will not allow you to use the "BV + PHP Single Page Menu" method (often called the "BV PHP Include" method) whatsoever. You will need to go back and delete similar elements on your pages, and for example, for the items that are the "same" on all pages such as your Menu, you will need to use the COPY icon to PASTE them on each page separately. This is the "embedding" required to maintain by BV12.

You will need to also offer your background the same "separateness" so to retain it's functionality: usually, the easiest way to do this is to create a base-formatted page as a Template (with the background in place) so when you have added all the particular elements for that page, you can then Save the page with a new name rather than "replace" the page.

Also, any images on your pages should have 'page-specific' titles, created for that single page only, so when they too are embedded, they have independent identity and SEO values. This Titling and pre-formatting should be done prior to adding them to the page for which they were prepared. Once each image has been embedded on the proper page along with the rest of the elements, you can then Publish the page as instructed above.

This earlier post may also prove helpful:
If you are using BV12 and are in any way still trying to use the "PHP Include" method for your Menu, Header, Background, or any other element, you will run into errors due to the manner in which BV12 was written and how conflicts arise according to the new WC3-compliant coding BV12 is based on.

If you are using an external archive to save your BlueVoda pages or files, please review these comments:
It may be best instead to store your photos and other vital elements in an organized series of folders stored on a thumb or otherwise external drive, for once you "draw" them from these external sources and place them on your pages, they will be published properly, but will record the 'source' from where they originated .... should your computer crash again, your page designs in BV will always seek the same paths to the resources, and if they are from a secure external source, it matters not if you are using the same computer anymore - those "local" paths are stable and can be used by any computer using the same base BV pages -- only, of course, if you originally created your pages using resources stored in these folders: if you are "backing up" your files onto an external drive, these original paths are not secured, and you will need to rmanually e-insert the items onto a page and re-save it to overcome the red "X" showing as an indication of broken paths prior to publishing.

Re: Photos and background color has disappeared

Vasili, I have worked on this for quite a while now and still do not get the background design or pictures showing on the web. I have cloned, started a couple of pages from scratch, assigned pictures to a specific page - nothing seems to be catching. I know I'm missing something, but . . . The domain is httrsales.com, a sub of safetytrigo.com. I'd appreciate any help you can suggest.

Background and pictures are not showing on the web pages

Site is httrsales.com, a sub of safetytrigo.com. I have tried to redo the pages as you suggested - copy and paste only, etc. but it is not working for me. I get the text - everything is working well there, but the pics and backgrounds just do not show up. Can you suggest something else for me - it's getting a little frustrating. I'll appreciate whatever advice you can pass along.
