Streaming audio/video

Hello from a newbie! What are the audio and video streaming possibilities, inasmuch as I'm building a site for a multimedia production co.

The fastest way to provide streaming video is to convert it to flash format, like they do at www.youtube.com (post by vodahost)

Thanks for your prompt response. I'll try converting the files to flash. Once that is done and they are uploaded, a link should stream them right?? there shouldn't be any problems uploading them once converted?
