    Dear Sirs,

In the next 30 days one of the webpages that I normally admin will be free for host changing and I would like to change it to VH as I am very happy with the services You provide me.

Can You host this ".pt" page at Your servers ?

Re: Can VodaHost host an existing ".pt" webpage

        Hi,

In fact I meant a .pt domain, I am sorry.

I have just requested to "dns.pt", which is the entity in Portugal that coordinates the .pt domains, to give me access to the control panel of my domain, since this access was never given to me by my present host provider, since 10/11/2004, when I first registered this domain.

As far as I have been explained I will be able at this control panel to point my domain name to my new host provider.

Can You please redirect me to:
        1) information about how and where I can point my domain to Vodahost.
        2) Information about costs for this service for the next 3 years.

        Thank You in advance,
        pipesportugal

As you said yourself, you need to enter your DNS control panel at yout current hosters Control Panel. When you do, there MUST be a section named something like "Change Nameservers" or " DNS Management". Go there and change the nameservers, to make them the ones that VH has (or will) provided for your account in VodaHost's welcome email.

Re: Can VodaHost host an existing ".pt" webpage

            Hello,

I already have full control on my web domain.
I already bought online from VH a hosting pack for the next 3 years and I they have sent me the necessary technical details for the change.

Next week I will point the dns to the ones provided by VH.

It wasn't so difficult really because dns.t they are completely independent from hosting companies and pride not to intrude on customers affairs and choices, therefore it was a very smooth and helpful change.

Now I want(I must...) to be a VH affiliate systems, because I have a lot of pages coming on from customers, maybe a dozen in the next months and prices at VH are really competitive, comparing with the choices that can be found in Portugal. Not only I will be providing my customers a favour and I can still earn some $.

            Thanks for Your support,
            bye

Re: Can VodaHost host an existing ".pt" webpage

                Hi there,

I thought the process had ended, but when pointing the dns to VH servers the dns.pt system is giving me the the possibility of using IPV4 and IPV6.

I chose IPV4 and I have placed the primary IP and ns1.voda19.com as it was given to me by VH.

If it was to place IPV6 please inform me. Thank You.

The dns.pt system did not give me the possibility of puting the info on the secondary server.
Is the info for second IP obligatory to input there ?

Just as trial, I have tried and chosen IPV6 and then I have an option for the secondary IP, but I am then obliged to input another field called IPV6 info which I don't have from You.

Do You have an IPV6 info for me to input there ? or just leave it the way it is ?

                Sorry for disturbing,
                pipesportugal
