I'm ready to commit my $$ but I'm getting confused

I currently have an existing website up and running on a New Zealand server. I have used BlueVoda to create a newer (and hopefully better) website to replace my old one. How do I test my new creation without corrupting my old one? I have read so many tutorials that I've managed to confuse myself thoroughly. What is my next step please?

1) create a vodahost account
2) we will issue you a temp. url to test on.

Okay, that clears that up thanks. To create a vodahost account do I go through this page "www.vodahost.com/order.htm" or am I still lost?
