paypal and return back to site pages

hi everyone I need some expert knowledge if at all possible.
I would like to know how I would integrate a paypal buy it now or similar checkout system into my site also how would I go about redirecting customers back to individual download pages on my site rather than just have them redirected back to the home page . Is this going to prove a difficult task or is it me just being a bit thick. THANKS
