@.sn. is not a domain extension. But .sn is. You can have an account with VH & use BV then just point your domain at your VH account from where its is at the moment. This is quite common practice.

Just verifying -- you're saying here that if I have a domain registered elsewhere, it *can* be hosted by vodahost by altering the settings at the registrar? vodahost does *not* mandate that I register the domain through vodahost?

That is correct. you just change the nameservers to those VH give you.
Then goto this link and download the free templates and graphics to your computer.
Lesson No 1..........Open BlueVoda-Start and try designing a webpage yourself from the templates and graphics you downloaded.
Lesson No 2........Do the Same
Lesson 3-10 do the same.

After you get to know how to use the tools in BlueVoda it gets easier and easier.
Once you have designed your webpages you will need to buy a Domain name and a Hosting account from VodaHost to publish your webpages to your own IP address and servers so that you can view your webpages on the internet.
