changing domain name

I have built a site for a friend using VodaHost and registered everything here under "m-jplastics.com" we are having problems transferring the domain, so to avoid the hassle can I change the name with VodaHost to something like "m&Jplstics.com". We have already received the login information email from Voda so what would I have to do to change the name and register a new domain?

You should be getting a free domain name for one year.

Until m-jplastics.com current subscription expires you cant register with another registrar using the same name.

You have 3 years left at the moment until it expires. Can you not leave it where it is at AISO.NET & just point it at your new VH account for now.
