    Number of pre sales queries

    Hi,
I'm not a techie, however have a number of domains and sites which generate a lot of business for me. A few years ago I wrote a few sites using your website builder, giving me sites with bvp extensions, however it wasn't your hosting company and I then fell out with them when they failed to provide me with a good support level. I moved all the sites to another host, however bvp files weren't supported, so I find myself unable to update them.
I'd like to move to yourselves as support looks good, and I hope I can get control back of these sites, however I have a number of questions relating to this.
1/ I am with this other host currently, how easy is it to transfer existing domains across to you, and what information needs to be provided?
2/ Will bvp files written with another hosts version of Voda be readable and amendable by me if hosted with yourself?
3/ One site has some "Adult" content, is that allowed?
4/ Some sites have php forums built in...does that cause me any issues with upgrading these...the reason for my fall out with the previous host.
I'm sure many other queries exist, but an outline for the above would be appreciated and I can start the process off.
    Thanks
    Paul

    1. This can all be done in the new control panel VH are using when you join.
    2. Dont know of another program that has bvp file extensions.
    3. Adult wont be allowed if its pornographic.
    4. VH certainly supports php scripts

I used to be a Servage customer, and created some sites using their version of Blue Voda, which produced bvp files. I've come across to yourselves on that basis, and have downloaded BlueVoda. I have just tried to open some of the old bvp files, and it states "Unexpected file format".
Can you advise on how I get my old files readable by your BlueVoda.

Must admit! i am not sure on this one & didn't want to install their version in-case it corrupt my one. Might be worth a support ticket to see if one of the Tec guys & girls can help. Or this Bump up the forum might get someone else looking in.
        Regards Chris.

Re: Number of pre sales queries

I raised it with support. Because this was done through Servage and not Voda, the files are un-supported, can not be updated to work, and although they are bvp files, are useless to me here. Support's answer "Fail to see how its our problem".
So...I guess I now need to make an obvious decision!

The software is quite likely designed to keep you loyal to the host. Cant blame them, it is free.
            Regards Chris.
