I am a writer and poet and wish to, when updating my site, dedicate part of the site to my writings and poetry.
There are 2 "issues":
- part of the content has political undertones and I would like to explain my own political ideals on the site to explain readers where the inspiration comes from. My political ideals are in the left wing, and nowadays in Europe (I don't know how the situation is in the States) so******m has a bad undertone. Can I nonetheless write and publish articles on subjects such as capital punishment, abortion, LGBT rights, etc on the site without violating any rules? Can I publically state my political orientation without violating any rules? (if I'd be on the right I'd not worry about this, but as I said, so******ts have a hard time in Europe these days)
- some of my poetry is quite gloomy and sombre, partially because writing is an outlet for me when I go through depression, and partially because I use a lot of metaphores. I would add on the page that my poetry would never encourage any self-harming or so and that if any somewhat eerie word is used, it is likely to be a metaphor. After all, I don't want readers to misinterpretate my writings.
However, is the publishing of dark/gloomy artistic content not violating any rules?
