can i hav 2 shops under 1 account.
eg i want to sell paintings under 1 domain name and hav the sales going to 1 bank account and music under anutha domain name and account
(i understand i hav 2 buy the 2nd domain name).

Yes, if you are using BV. Or you could use one instance of Soho, one of BV. But you can't use more than one instance of Soho on one account.

right. can u use more than 1 instance of bv?
and as both sites would need to be fully funcional shops would i b losing out by not being able to use soho on both?

For your purposes, build your sites using BV, and use OsCommerce to handle the sales details.
