    Questions...

    Hi all,

I am currently looking for a new host, and I have a few questions.

    First,

Is Vodahost related or affiliated with any other hosts?
Do many sites overload Vodahost's servers? If so, how does Vodahost respond to those sites?
How long does it take for support to respond to help tickets?
For web statistics, what programs are offered with standard hosting?
Does Vodahost support Joomla powered sites?
How easy is it to move a site from Lunarpages to Vodahost?

    Thank you!

    Re: Questions...

    1) No relation - VodaHost is stand alone.
    2) When thiis happens 99 times out of 100 it is a mysql loop not closing or
a badly wrriten script, We do what every other hosting company does (or
should do) , suspend the account and notify the owner to make corrections.
    3) couple minutes to couple hours depending on the ticket and our ticket load.
    4) AWSTATS
    5) Yes
    6) I can not answer this, I do not know your site. most sites are pretty easy.

      Re: Questions...

      Thank you for your response!

When a site is suspended, is it permenant or do you allow the owner to fix the site and prove that it is stable?

I was originally with siteground.com, and my site got suspended. They say that it overloaded the server, but would not say anymore than 'your site overloaded the server'. It seemed like it could have been a business tactic, because I was about 1 day away from renewing my service with them. In order to get my site back, I would have had to pay 90$ a month for vps hosting. I moved to Lunarpages, but Siteground.com had much better support and features. Moving back to them is almost impossible, as they continue to suspend sites without giving any explanation other than 'Your site overloaded the server, in order to resore your service, please upgrade to our vps service for 90$ / month'...

      Last question.
Since my site was suspended at my first host, will Vodahost allow it on their servers, or is that not possible?

        Re: Questions...

We do occasionally get sites that overload the server, we have no choice
but to suspend them or risk bringing down the entire server, in our case
it is rare because all our servers have SCSI drives which run at a much
higher RPM than the standard IDE drives that most hosting companies use.

But it does happen now and again, Our policy is as follows…

        1) The account will be auto suspended by the server.
        2) You will be allowed access to the server to fix the problems.
