wondering: if I have an excisting xxx.nl domain pointed to a VH name server, what will the visitors of the website see in their browser? domain.nl (wich they typed) or domain.com because of the re-direction?
Your question is a bit confusing so - to make sure there's no confusion -
If you have xyz.nl pointed to abc.com - and they type in xyz.nl - it will change over to abc.com and they will see abc.com in their browswer.

First check that Vodahost support .nl and register with vodahost and transfer your site (once you open a hosting account, you are entitled to a free domain transfer) then make sure your name servers are pointing to the Vodahost name servers.
Raise a support ticket for further instructions if needed. You visitors will still see www.yoursite.nl depending on whether vodahost support .nl .
